fwiw-- They do rankings by expert scout evaluation. The more you play on big platforms against elite talent the more scouts are able to evaluate. Mikey is everywhere. I think his most important performance was last year at Pangos All-American camp where he was impressive against older players that were the best in the country. JD plays for a small-town Alabama team. The only time they see him play is AAU. If he didn't play on a elite AAU team he probably wouldn't even be highly ranked... Another thing to remember is that one years growth for an elite basketball player is HUGE and JD is a rising sr while Mikey a rising Soph.
